Homecoming 2020 Event Highlights

Over 400 alumni, family, and friends came to SPU for Homecoming and Family Weekend fun!

Academic and Activity Reunions

More than 15 departments and group hosted a reunion to reconnect and network with classmates and professors across campus.

Basketball Doubleheader

The Women’s Basketball team played a great game and came close to beating Simon Fraser but lost 68-75. The Men’s Basketball Team beat Concordia-Portland 91-55.

SPU Voices Podcast Live

SPU professors chatted about what faith for the future means to the SPU community. Faculty on the panel included: Dave Nienhaus, Professor of New Testament Studies; Christine Chaney, Professor of English; Kenman Wong, Professor of Business Ethics; and Jenny Vaydich, Assistant Professor of Psychology​. Alumni Awards Dinner

200 hundred attendees enjoyed an evening of inspiration and delicious food as we honored the 2020 Alumni of the Year and the Medallion Award Honorees. Learn more about the award recipients.

Urinetown: The Musical

The play was so popular the evening show sold out and matinee tickets almost did too. Many who attended said it was wonderful and laughed so hard their mouths were hurting by the end. Great job cast!

Student Talent Show

Produced by STUB and ASSP, this annual favorite featured top-tier student performances and local celebrity judges.
