Bio
Hi, there! I’m Shelby, and I’m jazzed to be graduating with a BA in Visual Communication and a minor in Digital Media. When looking back at my perception of design prior to entering the major, I know that I had the sole intent of creating beautiful, aesthetically pleasing work. While beautiful design is still something I relentlessly strive for, I’m proud to see how much my goals have shifted in my time here. I want to design to build meaning, foster connection, and make an impact. I love approaching design problems with curiosity and empathy, utilizing my visual skills to create positive change. Regardless of whatever design work I find myself doing, I hope to never stop realigning my goals as I evolve as a designer.
Outside of designing, you can find me at the beach with pals, completing a Jake Dupree pilates workout, or feeding my Russian Tortoise, Koopa.

Curator is a guided journal that helps people establish healthy boundaries. This journal takes users through an immersive, multi-step process of determining their values, needs, and boundaries. Through empowering you in these areas, Curator’s goal is to strengthen your relationships with others and, ultimately, yourself.

It allows users to evaluate their levels of both personal and professional development in their daily activities, giving them long-term insight on their development. This presents the user with an opportunity to reflect on how their activities are impacting their growth, and make changes that best fit their goals.
