Claire Lehnert

Bio

Claire Lehnert is graphic designer from Eugene, Oregon who currently lives and studies in Seattle. She is graduating with a BA in Visual Communications and a minor in Interactive Computing & Art. Claire has always been interested in seeking out beauty, joy, and humor in the world and this is an important facet of her design process. Taking a lighthearted approach to design, Claire aims to highlight moments of beauty and harmony, especially in areas where they may often be lacking. She believes in using compelling visuals to send important messages, and harnessing design to make the world a better, safer, and more positive place. She is inspired by music, architecture, alleyways, video game design, and of course the work of other designers she admires. Claire especially enjoys brand identity, and hopes to someday work in this area at a design firm, helping brands see their dreams brought to life.

Pixel Magazine

Pixel Magazine is a concept I developed for a publication about the art and design of video games. I created all of the contents including graphics, articles, logo, and cover art. This was one of my first projects of this scope, and it helped me practice consistent brand identity. I also enjoyed my first venture into pixel art!

“Living with computers gives funny ideas.”

Curious Year

Curious Year is my senior project. It is a deck of cards that each have a unique prompt with the goal of helping the user engage with and seek interest in the world around them. This project’s purpose is to encourage bored, detached, and exhausted people to take notice of the beauty that is constantly hiding in plain sight.
