Governor Chris Gregoire has directed that Washington State and United States flags at all Washington State agency facilities be lowered to half-staff Tuesday, July 26, 2011, in memory of U. S. Army Sergeant Wyatt A. Goldsmith, 28, of Colville, Washington. Goldsmith died July 15 of injuries sustained in Afghanistan when his patrol received rocket-propelled grenade fire.
The governor asks that other government entities, citizens, and businesses join in this recognition.
