Initiatives

SPU’s School of Psychology, Family, and Community supports initiatives that complement our academic programs and integrate training, research, and outreach in the community and beyond.

CLRD

The Initiative for Individuals With Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IIIDD) uses lifespan and holistic perspectives to address psychological, social, and emotional well-being. It offers training, support, research, and education on a national scale.

The Living Well Initiative is a multidisciplinary educational program serving families affected by severe and persistent mental health conditions. The program is co-sponsored by SPU’s School of Health Sciences and the School of Psychology, Family, and Community.

Research and Teaching Labs

Graduate and undergraduate students have a chance to work with SPU professors in ongoing, real-world research.
