Electrical EngineeringThe requirements for the electrical engineering major are changing significantly. During this changeover, you may have a choice of which requirements to use. Please consult with an engineering advisor to find the set of requirements. The following requirements are recommended for typical students:

Freshmen in 2008 or 2009: Use the 2009–10 requirements.

Major Requirements: 2009–10

Recommended Course Schedule: 2009–10

Recommended Course Schedule: 2009–10 for Uscholars

Juniors in 2009-2010: Use the 2009–10 EE requirements and the old math requirements. You may optionally use the 2008–09 requirements instead. A selection guide is provided to help you.

[Note that students who take EE 4310 (E&M) in Winter 2010 will take it as a 5 credit class. If you are graduating under the “new” 2009–10 requirements, which only requires a 3 credit E&M course, the 2 credit differential may be counted toward the tech elective requirement.]
