|Watch Your Mail: Cigna ID Cards Are Coming!|
Please pay attention to mail delivered to your house during the next several weeks as you receive information from Cigna, and for those signed up for the High Deductible Health Plans (HDHP) plan, from Chase. Cigna began mailing ID cards on June 4. If you have not seen your ID card(s) by Wednesday, June 19, contact Associate Director of Human Resources Carrie McCrimmon at 206-281-2676 or firstname.lastname@example.org. More information and sessions will be coming from Cigna and Human Resources in July and again in September to help answer questions. Look for messages in the Fac/Staff Bulletin and emails from Human Resources for details.

Are you using Sitecore or Contribute? Join the University Communications Web Team on the third Thursday of each month for a brown-bag question-and-answer time. Bring your questions; we'll bring answers (and cookies). The next brown-bag is Thursday, June 20, noon-1 p.m. in the Lower Weter Conference Room.
|Brougham Pavilion Summer Hours|
Royal Brougham Pavilion summer hours start Monday, June 10, and continue until Friday, September 27. The hours are Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Brougham will be closed Saturday and Sunday.
|Camp Casey Holds Open House June 14|
SPU Camp Casey Conference Center on Whidbey Island is hosting an open house on Friday, June 14, 12-4 p.m. Visitors will get a rare chance to tour the Colonel's House, reserved exclusively for the SPU president and vice presidents. Tours will also be available in various barracks and the newly renovated mess hall, where free snacks will be served. Guests will be able to visit the “Sea Lab," a marine biology teaching facility, and play games in the center's gymnasium. Admission to the outdoor pool will also be free. Do you intend to order stationery products from your department's 2012-13 budget? Then place your order no later than 9:45 a.m., Tuesday, June 11. You will receive your order(s) by June 21, ensuring your purchase will come out of this year's funds. Orders made after 10 a.m. on June 11 will come out of your department's 2013-14 budget. More

Beginning June 10, the Fac/Staff Bulletin will be published every other week during the summer. Deadlines for submissions are Thursdays. If you have information or event news, send it as soon as possible to Fac/Staff Bulletin editor Tracy Norlen at firstname.lastname@example.org. Submissions may be edited for clarity. The next deadline is Thursday, June 20. The next Bulletin will be published Monday, June 24.

|Farewell Reception for Dale Anderson and Leigh Hopkins|
The Office of Student Life invites you to join us in saying goodbye and thank you to Leigh Hopkins, interim director for Residence Life, and Dale Anderson, director of Student Programs, for their many years of service to SPU. A farewell reception will be held Friday, June 14, 3-5 p.m. in the Gazebo Room in the SUB.
|Woodward's Recent Speaking Engagements|
Professor of History Bill Woodward had an extensive outside speaking schedule this spring. He gave a presentation on "Population Shifts in MLB Cities, 1950-2010" to the Northwest Chapter of the Society for American Baseball Research in May. He gave his popular talk on the "History of Baseball" in seven venues from Longview to Richland, to audiences ranging from retirement communities to colleges. In addition to several preaching engagements, he also coordinated an adult series at North Seattle Alliance Church on hymnody through the centuries.
|Ferreiro Makes Presentation, Has Article Published|
Professor European History Alberto Ferreiro has presented and published "St. Constantine the Great and St. Helena in St. Vicent Ferrer's Catalán Sermon on Pope Sylvester" in Saint Emperor Constantine and Christianity, 2 vols., 31 May-June 2, Nis, Serbia, 2013, II: 251-264. He gave his presentation at a conference to commemorate the 1700th anniversary of the Edict of Milan in 313 by Emperor Constantine, which brought to an end the official Roman persecutions. More than 150 scholars attended and presented papers. The conference was convened by His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia. The meeting closed with a Divine Liturgy on the Feast Day of St. Constantine and St. Helena.
