|Lee's Professional Activities During the Summer|
Professor of Clothing and Textiles Jaeil Lee was an invited speaker to the Korean
Modelism Association's biannual meeting at Ehwa Women's University in Seoul, Korea,
on August 3. She gave a lecture and led a workshop titled “Curriculum Development for
Technical Design in Clothing and Textiles Higher Education." Korean clothing and
textiles professors and Korean fashion professionals participated. Jaeil said it was well received. Jaeil also spent part of her summer
teaching in Mongolia. She joined two other professors to team-teach an intensive
summer course on fashion merchandising and retailing at Mongolian International University in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. It was a service project sponsored by SPU's Serve Grant for 2012-13. She and the professors created a research presentation from this project titled “Teaching Locally, Learning Globally: Team-Taught Class in Mongolia and South Korea."
