COSTS AND FINANCIAL AID:

2008-09 COSTS

2008-09 COSTS

Currently, the tuition rate for 2008-09 is $542 per credit hour for master's level courses and $604 per credit hour for doctoral level courses. This amount is subject to change. For other costs and fees, as well as financial aid details see www.spu.edu/prospects/grad/Academics/GRcatalog/gradcosts.asp

ASSISTANTSHIPS

The department typically offers several graduate assistant positions each year. The moderate stipend varies depending upon the time commitment and level of appointment (MA versus Ph.D.). Graduate Assistantships are not considered a part of the student's financial aid award. You may contact the program coordinator (206-281-2312) to inquire about graduate assistantships only after you have been admitted to the program.

FINANCIAL AID

Financial aid, in the form of student loans and work-study, is administered by Student Financial Services (SFS). Financial aid is available to students who are admitted as degree-seeking students in and who demonstrate financial need. Specific questions should be directed to SFS. The office is located on the garden level of Demaray Hall, or you may call (206) 281-2061. www.spu.edu/sfs

STUDENT EMPLOYMENT

In addition to graduate assistantships and other financial aid, students may choose to be employed part-time on- or off-campus. For student employment opportunities, please visit the Student Employment website at http://216.150.10.106
