    Today, October 24, at 3:00-3:40 p.m. in the Library Reading Room, Professor of Christian Ministry, Theology, and Culture Jeff Keuss will kick off the library’s new Creative Conversations speaker series. Jeff will talk about his current project, “The Gospel according to Stephen King.”

    On October 24th between 10:40a.m. and 1:00p.m. the library is hosting a portion of “Going to College in the Fifth Grade.”  We are excited to be part of introducing 5th graders to college life. Our library patrons should be aware that the library may not be a quiet zone during this time.

    Wednesday the 16th of October is the 12th annual Day of Common Learning. SPU welcomes Dr. Thomas Maridada, II, to talk about transforming our youth. Come check out our roving Circulation Desk with related resources available for checkout at Royal Brougham. The Library will be closed from 9:45 a.m. to 11 a.m.

With Fall Quarter just around the corner, we encourage any faculty members who wish to put books on Reserve to contact us, fill out a Reserves form, and drop off personal volumes that need to be processed.     Need a copy of something for class but don’t want to print it out? Scanning documents or book pages to your email is free! Guests must still create a guest account, but do not require Paper Cut dollars to scan. Faculty, staff, and students, simply tap your ID card, select scan, and input your correct email address.

    Want a film for movie night? The SPU Library offers a variety of popular movies, with titles from Juno to Zero Dark Thirty, available for one-week checkouts. Our DVD collection is located in the first shelving unit on the main floor, with most popular titles in the PN1995 to PN1997 call-number range. You can also search for specific titles, using our online catalog. Movies we don't own can often be found on Summit.

  • Printing in the Library

    SPU's new printing system is up and running. Students, staff, and faculty will continue to use debit dollars. Simply send an item to print, and log in with your SPU credentials, or tap your ID card, to release print jobs from anywhere on campus. Guest users and alumni need to create guest accounts and purchase paper cut dollars at either the Circulation Desk or the Tech Desk. We are always happy to help or answer any questions you may have!
