School Counseling MEd Program Granted Initial CACREP Accreditation

The M.Ed. in School Counseling program has been granted initial national accreditation through the Council on Accreditation for Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). This is an important achievement that recognizes the quality of SPU's school counseling program, its faculty, and expertise of graduates.

As stated on the CACREP website, students who attend a CACREP accredited program can be assured of the quality of the academic program and streamlines the licensure application process. In addition, research shows CACREP graduates perform better on the National Counselor Examination for Licensure and Certification (NCE).

More information on the benefits and value of attending a CACREP accredited program can be found on the CACREP website.
