School of Education Scholarship Application Now Open

Graduate students in the School of Education are encouraged to apply for an annual scholarship offered through the School of Education. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need and commitment to the School of Education's mission. Graduate students may apply for the Kingswood Scholarship for Christian educators or the Ethnic Diversity Scholarship. All students apply for scholarships via one application.
The application deadline for the Kingswood and Ethnic Diversity scholarships is June 15, 2013.

WASA Scholarship for Doctoral Students in Educational Administration

Doctoral students currently serving as education administrators are encouraged to apply for The Dr. Doyle E. Winter Scholarship for Administrative Leadership in Education, a $1,000 annual scholarship offered by The Washington Association of School Administrators and Seattle-Northwest Securities Corporation. Apply online through the Washington Association of School Administrators.

If you are planning to graduate Winter, Spring, or Summer 2013, now is the time to apply to graduate. Please apply by Friday, Februay 15. Students graduating Winter, Spring, or Summer 2013 must meet the February deadline as one of the qualifications to be eligible to participate in Commencement. Of the five schools within Thurston County selected among the 2012 Schools of Distinction, three are headed by graduates of SPU's Principal Certification program. Congratulations to Patty Kilmer, principal of East Olympia Elementary School, Gayle Mar-Chun, principal of Madison Elementary School, and Bob Richards, principal of Olympic View Elementary School. The School of Education is very proud of our graduates!
