Common Transfer Guarantee Program

If you apply to SPU via the Common Application, and have satisfied all of the program requirements, you will be offered direct admission to Seattle Pacific University.



Program requirements

  • Apply to Seattle Pacific University using the Common Application and complete all sections of the application, including the essay portions.
  • Apply for one of the following entry terms: Winter 2022, Spring 2022, or Fall 2022.
  • Have at least a full year of earned college credits (equivalent of 45 quarter credits or 30 semester credits).
  • Earn a cumulative GPA of 3.0+ for all college-level credits, to be confirmed with official transcripts from all colleges or universities previously attended.
  • Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
Please note:
  • Guaranteed admission applies to general SPU admission only, and not to limited or direct admission majors (i.e. Nursing, Business). 
  • All application information, including official transcripts, must be accurate and true. Seattle Pacific reserves the right to reverse an admission decision based on concerns found in the application review process.
  • If applicants have earned a Direct Transfer Agreement (DTA) degree, they are also eligible for SPU’s renewable Direct Transfer Degree (DTA) Scholarship. Recipients of the Direct Transfer Degree Scholarship must complete the direct transfer degree and submit an official transcript with the degree posted prior to beginning at Seattle Pacific. This confirmation is required in order to maintain the Direct Transfer Degree Scholarship. Seattle Pacific reserves the right to amend your scholarship offer upon review of your final transcript. 
  • Scholarship terms and conditions: All scholarships are applied to student accounts in equal installments for Autumn, Winter, and Spring quarters. You must be enrolled full time (12 credits or more each quarter) at SPU and remain in good academic standing to receive all awards.
