Transfer Students

Your transfer admissions counselor will be able to walk you through how credits can transfer to SPU, but you will also get an official transcript evaluation from the Office of the Registrar, once you are admitted to SPU. It's helpful to refer to the Transfer Equivalency Guide, if you want to see how some of your credits will transfer before you are admitted. Please note that this guide is not all-inclusive. If you don't see your specific school or class, it doesn't mean we don't accept the credit. Please contact your admissions counselor for more information!

No, you do not need to be a Christian to attend SPU. In fact, though we have many students who are eager to grow deeper in their Christian faith, there are many others who do not practice their faith or who practice a different faith. SPU fosters a community of deep belonging for all students.

If you are a Running Start student (a Washington dual-credit program for high school students), you are considered a freshman, or first year, student. If you have earned any college credits AFTER graduating from high school, you are considered a transfer student.
