Off-Quarter Students

Congratulations on being accepted to SPU for Winter or Spring Quarter, or during the Summer Session! Here are some important steps to take as soon as possible.

 1. Submit your $200 advance payment

Your advance payment is due to SPU’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions online or by mail within 15 days of receiving your offer of financial assistance. (If you will not be applying for financial aid, your advance payment is due within 15 days of your admission.)

This payment must be made before you register for classes.

Log into your Seattle Pacific portal to make your payment, or send the payment to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions in the return envelope that was sent to you, along with your enrollment response card. If this is your first time logging into your student portal, go to spu.edu/findmyID. The payment will be credited toward your first tuition payment and secures your place for the upcoming quarter.

Questions? Contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at 206-281-2021; 800-366-3344; or admissions@spu.edu.

 2. Set Up Your SPU Email Account

After you have your computer credentials, log in at spu.edu/webmail. Check it often for updates!

Questions? Contact Computer and Information Systems at help@spu.edu or 206-281-2982, or visit CIS in Lower Marston Hall.

 3. Apply for Financial Aid

If applicable, apply for financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible for the best consideration. Fill it out and have the results sent to Seattle Pacific University (SPU’s school code for FAFSA is 003788).

Questions? Contact Student Financial Services at 206-281-2061 or 800-737-8826.

 4. Sign up for New Student Advising

Watch your mailbox and SPU email account for more information about setting up a new student advising appointment, where you’ll register for classes and learn important information for the next part of your SPU journey.

Questions? Contact the new student advising team at 206-281-2575 or nsa@spu.edu.

 5. Sign Up for Housing

Review SPU's Residential Living Requirement and learn how to apply for housing.

  • First-time freshmen are eligible for residence halls.
  • Transfer students are eligible for campus apartments. However, if demand for housing exceeds supply, priority will be given to students who are required to live on campus.

Questions? Contact University Services at housing@spu.edu or 206-281-2188.

 6. Send Official Academic Transcripts

Arrange to have your official final academic transcripts sent to SPU’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions. If you are recent a high school graduate, you must submit your final high school transcript with graduation date noted. If you are a transfer student, you are responsible for submitting all official college transcripts.

  • This is a final requirement for admission.
  • Your final official transcripts are required to receive financial aid.
  • Transfer students are responsible for submitting all college transcripts.

Questions? Contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at 206-281-2021; 800-366-3344; or admissions@spu.edu.

 7. Complete Medical History and Immunization Forms

You will need to send us this information by the first day of classes. Please download the forms on the Health Center website and mail or fax to:

Seattle Pacific University Health Services
3307 3rd Ave. W., Suite 110
Seattle, WA 98119–1922
Fax: 206-281-2674

Questions? Contact Health Services at 206-281-2231 or spu.edu/healthservices.

 8. Update Your Emergency Contacts

If you’ve made your advance payment, you’re probably logged into Banner (SPU’s online site to check your grades and transcripts, and to enroll in classes). While you're there, update your emergency contacts, which are found under the Personal menu.

Questions? If you have trouble accessing Banner, contact Computer and Information Systems at help@spu.edu or 206-281-2982.
