What is something you wish everyone knew about your major? I have learned that ecology is in part, the study of interactions and interrelatedness between various parts of our living and non-living environment. By appreciating the complex interconnections of our natural world, I have also realized the complex intersections between my passions for community, science, teaching, and service at the individual level. At a larger scale, I now believe that positive change can be made through interdisciplinary collaborations, acknowledgment of our interrelatedness, and being in community.
