What is your major?
I will graduate from SPU with my bachelor’s degree in
Clinical-Counseling Psychology and I’m currently enrolled in the
Master of Science Research Psychology program.
What is something you wish everyone knew about your major?
Psychology is a very broad field of study that intersects with so many other disciplines. As mental health becomes more accessible, there is a need for more people to study psychology. Psychology is relevant and can be applied to numerous fields such as health care, tech, research, business, and education.
What was your most impactful class or professor?
The entire psychology faculty have been so impactful and it’s hard to name one. They’ve all given me so much advice and support, not only academically, but also professionally and personally as well. I would like to especially thank Dr. Jenny Lee Vaydich, Dr. Baine Craft, and Dr. Phillip Baker who have been instrumental in helping me navigate my future career and studies.
What are some of your career goals?
Some of my career goals are to get my PhD in clinical psychology, conduct research internationally, and start my own research think tank or private practice.

NETWORK! Network and connect with your classmates, professors, and other professionals in your field.
What SPU has meant to you?
SPU has given me the skills, knowledge, and resources to explore so many different career opportunities.
