SPU’s Director of Bands Danny Helseth will perform on the euphonium and trombone during a special concert in First Free Methodist Church on Thursday, April 16, at 7:30 p.m. The euphonium is a brass wind instrument similar but smaller than a tuba with a slightly higher range of notes.
The repertoire includes “Three Romances” by Robert Schumann; “Bluebells of Scotland” by Arthur Pryor; “Three Euphonics for Solo Euphonium” by Howard Bus, and several other selections. Accompanying Director Helseth will be Asta Vaičekonis on piano. The concert is free and wheelchair accessible.
