Seattle Pacific University is joining government entities, citizens, and businesses in lowering the campus American flag to half-staff in memory of Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Deputy Justin DeRosier, 29, who was killed in the line of duty on April 13, 2019.
A memorial service for Deputy DeRosier will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, at the Earle A. & Virginia H. Chiles Center at the University of Portland in Portland, Oregon. A live video feed of the service will also be available at the New Life Church in Longview, Washington.
Governor Jay Inslee has directed that Washington state and United States flags at all state agency facilities remain at half-staff until sunset on Wednesday, April 24, in memory of Deputy DeRosier.
