Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapists focus on the rehabilitation of patients who have injuries, illnesses, disabilities, or developmental delays. They assess, plan, and organize programs that help build or restore their patients’ vocational, homemaking, and daily living skills as well as general independence. They use therapeutic techniques, adapt the individual’s environment, teach skills, and modify specific tasks that present barriers to the individual.
