Pharmacy

Pharmacists earn a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. They dispense drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners and provide information to patients about medications and their use. They may advise physicians and other health practitioners on the selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects of medications.

Suggested undergraduate major: Biochemistry. Additional courses in Communication, Economics, English, and Social Science are recommended.

Graduate training: Doctoral degree.
