Mya Kwon is a registered dietitian with a clinical specialization in the spectrum of eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image. Prior to becoming nutrition faculty, she first started at SPU as the staff dietitian in the Student Counseling Center and provided nutrition counseling for undergraduate students.
As a clinician, educator, speaker, and author, Ms Kwon is passionate about advocating for weight-inclusive care and she teaches and practices from evidence-based non-diet approaches such as “Health at Every Size” and “Intuitive Eating.” Ms. Kwon speaks regularly on these topics for a range of audiences including professional dietetics/clinical organizations to corporate wellness conferences.
Bicultural and bilingual, she grew up going back and forth between Korea and the U.S., and has lived in nine states across the country, but now happily calls Seattle home.
