"10 years later and I am still forever grateful for my experience at Seattle Pacific University. Gaining the foundation in my faith to stand out and make a positive difference in the world, gaining the role models in Professors like Dr. Lee & lifelong friendships, and gaining a well-rounded education in the field of my passion, was more than I dreamed college would be. It was during a field trip to Nordstrom my Junior year that showed me I wanted to pursue a career in Product Development/Sourcing. During college, I studied abroad with the American Intercontinental University in London and was accepted into the exchange program with the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC for my senior year, earning an AAS in Fashion Merchandising Management in addition to my SPU Bachelor of Arts in Clothing & Textiles: Fashion Merchandising.
I am grateful for my experiences and opportunities following graduation - all which have shaped me to be a better Christian, person, and professional leader in this industry. After an internship at Club Monaco in Production, I became an Assistant Buyer/Product Manager for PPR - Redcats USA; from there I was Product Manager at Aeropostale, then Product Developer at Nordstrom, traveling to factories in China & India. In 2015, I moved to Belgium to work for C&A as Global Sourcing Product Manager, traveling to factories in Bangladesh, Turkey, and Portugal. Today, I am Manager of Development Apparel at Adidas, traveling to the Far East and Latin America - working on projects and collaborations, such as Parley for Oceans, a sustainability endeavor to turn plastic bottles into shoes/apparel.
My experience and knowledge encompasses Product Development, Sourcing, Production, and Marketing across multiple categories (Mens/Womens/Kids) & classifications (Circular/Flat Knitwear/Wovens/Accessories). I am grateful for my family, my education, and for other men & women who want to make the fashion industry better."
