Men’s Choir

Mens Choir

Men’s Choir is a choral ensemble that sings a variety of literature reflecting the best in music written or arranged for men’s voices. The repertoire ranges from Medieval through contemporary music, both sacred and secular.

Known for its unique programming and performance of new and original music from SPU students and local composers, the Men's Choir performs in quarterly concerts as well as in the annual Sacred Sounds of Christmas Concert in downtown Seattle. Occasionally the choir also performs at selected churches and organizations in the community as outreach for the University. Students are encouraged to enroll in Men's Choir for an entire year, as this ensemble is a full-year course in its goals and objectives.

Membership

Membership in Men’s Choir is by audition and is open to Music majors, Music minors, and nonmajors. Auditions are held at the beginning of Autumn Quarter (see notices posted in the lobby of Crawford Music Building prior to the beginning of the quarter). Interested members should email the director about audition requirements.
