The 2019–2020 Staff Council is excited to begin this new academic year! We have welcomed six new representatives who join seven representatives continuing from last year.
We will continue to focus our efforts around Staff Council’s guiding purpose: to foster community, and to provide opportunities for staff to be informed, receive recognition, give input, and grow.
We have been dreaming and strategizing about how to continue the work from last year and how to take on new initiatives highlighted by Good Ideas submitted by staff throughout the year. We are grateful for this opportunity!
Autumn Quarter
Our work during Autumn Quarter will include these things:
- A forum on spiritual formation
- An HR professional development series workshop on Wesleyan faith formation
- Annual Christmas Social
- Monthly Staff of the Month recognition
- Collaboration with Faculty Council
- Conversation with the Senior Leadership Team and HR regarding Good Idea submissions.
We invite you to participate with us by attending events, sharing your ideas for supporting and encouraging staff through the Good Idea initiative, and nominating colleagues for Staff of the Month recognition.
We look forward to doing this year together.
