History minor

View degree requirements:

The History minor helps students think critically about the past and its impact on today’s world. Students develop cross-cultural understanding, empathy, and insight into issues of race, class, conflict, and injustice while building strong analytical and research skills through the study of diverse historical periods and global perspectives.

History: Museum Studies minor

View degree requirements:

The History: Museum Studies minor provides focused coursework and practical experience for students interested in immediate employment, or further graduate study, in the fields of museums, archives, and public history. This minor is an ideal complement to majors and/or minors in areas such as art, business, and more.

Asian Studies minor

View degree requirements:

Sixty percent of the world’s population lives in Asia, and at SPU, the Asian Studies minor helps students deepen their understanding of Asia’s many diverse cultures, histories, and societies while preparing for meaningful engagement in an interconnected world. Through interdisciplinary coursework and experiential learning, students develop global and cross-cultural perspectives valuable for careers and further study in fields such as business, education, ministry, law, development, and the arts.
