Seven SPU students are studying during Winter Quarter in Chengdu, China -- one of the most ancient and culturally fascinating places in all of China. At Southwest University for Nationalities, our students are studying international marketing and Chinese economy in this important economic center of western China.
Students are required to take Mandarin Chinese, a language that is becoming increasingly popular in the global marketplace. In addition to business and language courses, students have the option to study history and culture, and to choose from several elective courses. They’ll participate in field trips to museums and other sites of historical and cultural interest. Weekend trips to the mountains and other cultural-immersion activities will add to their China experience.
