Criteria
We ask that you consider the following three criteria when distributing your points:
- Social Impact: The significance of the social need being addressed and the likelihood that the social venture idea, if implemented, can make an impact in addressing that need.
- Financial Viability: The degree to which the project has a viable business model that creates earned revenue to support its implementation (as opposed to relying heavily or even solely on donations).
- Presentation: The team’s enthusiasm and passion for the project and how well they communicate the basic tenets of their idea. This may include criteria such as the quality of the team’s “elevator pitch,” their presentation materials and their ability to answer challenging or rapid-fire questions related to their venture idea.
Voting Instructions
You have 100 points to invest in the student projects in the Virtual Showcase. We ask that you think of these as “investment dollars.” If you were an investor or donor, to which project (or projects) would you actually consider giving your money?
This is an open distribution system and you may distribute the dollar points as your judgment dictates. However, for simplicity in tallying scores, we ask that you distribute points to no more than five teams. The total dollar points you invest should add up to 100.
