Meet the Dean

Katy Tangenberg

Welcome! Thank you for considering the School of Psychology, Family, and Community to further your education.

Our baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral level programs offer powerful opportunities to integrate disciplinary knowledge of psychology with personal and spiritual development.

As part of Seattle Pacific University, we are committed to the effective integration of Christian faith, scholarship, learning, and service. Faculty members engage closely with students in activities including research, community education, organizational consulting, and clinical practice across therapeutic contexts.

A primary focus is partnering with diverse communities throughout the Puget Sound region to provide high-quality assessment, consultation, and mental health services, and we are exceedingly proud of the contributions our graduates are making in the lives of individuals and organizations. We invite your questions and the opportunity to shape your professional journey.
