Education: BA, Whitworth University, 2014; MS, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, 2018; PhD, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, 2021. At SPU since 2021.

Dr. Hoff is a faculty member in the School of Psychology, Family, and Community at Seattle Pacific University.

Founded in Positive Youth Development, Dr. Hoff’s research explores how adolescents and young adults create their own development through intentional self-regulation and goal pursuit. Her dissertation work explored goal focus: whether people frame their goals in terms of the process or the outcome. 

Dr. Hoff’s teaching focuses on psychological research and developmental psychology. Selected courses include Lifespan Developmental Psychology, Tests and Measurement, as well as Adolescent Development.
