Education: BA, Seattle Pacific University, 2004; MLIS, San Jose State University, 2009. At SPU since 2013.
While completing an undergraduate degree in Sociology from SPU, Kristen was employed as a student worker in the SPU library and Student Academic Services. After graduating in 2004, she moved to the Los Angeles area and worked in several public libraries while pursuing her master’s degree in library and information science. Before returning to SPU, she worked most recently as a reference assistant in a City of Whittier library as well as a reference and instruction librarian at Biola University.
Kristen finds joy in training and empowering students to become more efficient in their research.
She is married, has three young sons, and lives in Shoreline.
