Prayer and Communion

Every week of the quarter, the SPU community is invited to a small, contemplative prayer and communion service focused on the celebration of the Lord’s Supper, or the Eucharist.

An ordained member of the staff or faculty leads the congregation in a liturgy of prayer and confession that concludes with participation in the Lord’s Supper. Our communion leaders also offer a brief reflection from our weekly Lectio text, focusing on themes related to worship, discipleship, and reconciliation.

The service meets in Alexander Chapel, on the second floor of Alexander Hall, each Friday of the quarter, 12:30–1 p.m. All are invited.
