Transfer Students

Applying for Admission as a Transfer Student

If you have taken one or more college courses after your high school graduation, you are a transfer student, and when  applying for admission to Seattle Pacific University, follow these procedures:

  • Complete the Common Application Transfer Application and submit it to Undergraduate Admissions along with your $50 application nonrefundable fee and the required SPU member section.
  • If you are a transfer student who, at the time of application, has completed fewer than 45 transferable quarter credits or 30 semester units after graduating from high school, you must submit an official high school transcript and SAT or ACT scores with your application.
  • If you are a transfer student who has completed more than 45 transferable quarter credits or 30 semester credits, you are not required to submit high school transcripts and SAT or ACT scores for admission purposes. However, your high school transcripts and SAT or ACT scores can be useful for your placement in math courses and proof of proficiency in a foreign language.
  • Send official transcripts from all colleges and universities previously attended.
