FCS 6940: Nutrition and Dietetics Internship (2024-2025)

Experiential supervised practice in professional settings. Dietetic interns will spend 36-hours per week gaining entry-level professional experience in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, school districts, senior centers, and food banks. Additionally, dietetic interns will spend two hours per week in a seminar course focused on professionalism. Course topics include cultural competence, skill building in nutrition education and counseling, career readiness, and preparation for the board examination for Registered Dietitian Nutritionists. Typically offered: Autumn, Winter, Spring. May be repeated for credit 2 times.
