This course is designed to meet the components of the Teacher Leadership Standard 10: understand effective use of research based instructional practices. This course allows graduate students to examine research in improving teaching including the selection, implementation and evaluation of instructional strategies. This course is also designed to teach graduate students how to the support the improvement of colleagues with particular emphasis on building instructional coaching skills through the lens of the instructional strategies covered.
