New combined degree in School of Theology

Starting Autumn Quarter 2019, students who feel called to the ministry can receive a combined Christian Theology (BA) and Christian Leadership (MA).

Through dual-function courses that count for both degree programs, students can graduate with two degrees within five years instead of six.

SPU Voices: Internship leads to research and presentation on homelessness for student

Emily Nye didn’t expect to go into research — or present her findings on homelessness at the Pacific Sociological Association’s annual conference in Oakland, California. But that’s what happened after she began working with Karen Snedker, her internship faculty supervisor and an SPU associate professor of sociology.

Wrote Nye, “This year, I learned a lot about taking risks and opportunities that present themselves.” Read Emily’s story.
