What was your most impactful class or professor? There have been numerous enjoyable and impactful classes throughout my time at SPU, but one that especially stands out is Business Ethics with Professor Wong. Learning how to make ethical and sustainable decisions in business is something I will carry with me as I graduate and apply in the real world. I also enjoyed participating in thoughtful discussions with my peers and hearing a variety of perspectives in each class. Business Ethics challenged me to strengthen my critical thinking and writing skills while also becoming more confident in expressing my own opinions.
What do you enjoy most about your major? I originally came to SPU intending to pursue a different major, but I am so glad I switched to Business Administration because it has opened so many new doors and opportunities for me. One of the most interesting aspects of studying business is seeing how seamlessly everything connects. From classes like Financial Accounting to Marketing Research, I have learned how important each role is in contributing to the success and functionality of a business.
What are you excited for in your future career? After discovering a genuine interest in my marketing classes and gaining experience through marketing-related internships, I have decided to pursue a Master of Science in Marketing at The University of Texas at Austin beginning in July 2026. My goal is to continue advancing my technical skills while using strategic thinking to solve marketing challenges. I am excited to see where this next chapter takes me and what opportunities lie ahead.
What advice do you have for incoming students? Time will go by faster than you think, and before you know it, you’ll be in my shoes preparing to graduate. My biggest piece of advice is to say yes to every valuable opportunity that comes your way because you never know where it might lead. Whether that means joining clubs, starting one of your own, or taking on an on-campus job, getting involved can open so many doors. I also encourage you to connect with your professors and advisors; they genuinely want to help and support you however they can.
