What are you excited for in your future career? I’m excited to keep learning and gaining more real world experience. I’m also excited about meeting people in the industry and building connections. More than anything, I want to find a career that pushes me to grow, challenges me, and still feels meaningful and purposeful to who I am as a person. My time in choir and working as a student videographer in college also showed me the importance of creativity, connection, and balance, and helped me realize I want a career that is not only successful but also personally fulfilling.

How have you grown during your time at SPU? During my time at Seattle Pacific University, I think I’ve grown a lot by learning more about who I am as a person. Growth can feel slow in the moment, but one day you look back and realize how far you’ve come. My faith has also played a big role in that growth by helping me become more grounded, reflective, and intentional in the way I approach life and relationships. At the same time, I know I still have a lot of room to grow, and I think part of college is realizing that growth never really stops.

What advice do you have for incoming students? I would say try as many new things as you can during your four years of college. Get involved, meet different people, and do not be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. College goes by fast, and some of the best experiences come from opportunities you did not originally plan for. I also think it is important to pursue the things that genuinely bring you joy and contentment, because they often help you grow the most as a person and shape who you become.
