What was your most impactful class or professor? My most impactful class was Dr. Walter's Refugees and Human Trafficking class. In this class I learned that I am most passionate about immigration history and the stories and experiences people around the world have with those in the past and in the present.
What do you enjoy most about your major? The History Department and Division of Education have brought me so much community at SPU. The students and professors in these areas have been such as foundation for who I am and want to be as I graduate.
How have you grown during your time at SPU? My students are my other passion besides history. I love hearing their stories, questions, thoughts, and funny jokes. As I look forward to a career in teaching, I am most excited to get to know the students I will have in the future.
What advice do you have for incoming students? My advice for incoming students is to get involved in EVERYTHING. Have fun, try new things, and talk to your neighbors in your first year dorm. You never know where you may become passionate about something or who you might become friends with.
