This quarter's SBGE Dean's Speaker Series welcomes Dr. Stan Humphries, Chief Economist of Zillow, Inc.  Stan is a recognized leader in the real estate industry, serving as a member of Fannie Mae’s Affordable Housing Advisory Council. Prior to joining Zillow, Stan spent five years at Expedia where he ran the advanced analytics team.  Join other SBGE undergraduates to hear about this innovative company at the intersection of real estate, economics, and technology.

Every year, students at the School of Business, Government, and Economics enjoy the opportunity to hear from a visionary business leader or entrepreneur – someone who understands and exemplifies deeper aspects of influencing culture through business. This year we welcome Dr. Michael Naughton, Director of the John A. Ryan Institute for Catholic Social Thought at the University of St. Thomas on Saint Paul, Minnesota. He is the author and editor of several books and articles, including Bringing Your Business to Life, Managing as if Faith Mattered, Rediscovering Abundance and Rethinking the Purpose of Business.  We look forward to our time with this international expert on issues at the intersection of Christian faith and business.

Five time Emmy Award winning producer Hal Calbom, of the Sustainable Media Group, will be our guest speaker.  His presentation is titled, Sustainable Solutions: The Business of Green.  This special event is sponsored by the Associated Undergraduate Students of Business & Economics (AUSBGE) and the student chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).  Join us in OMH 109 at 3:30 on April 22.  Refreshments will be provided.

Chef Lowell's reverence for life and cuisine, complemented by his drive to deliver an exceptional experience, makes him one of the Pacific Northwest's most respected chefs.  SBGE students will interact with this entrepreneur who is following his passion.
