The annual Burton and Ralene Walls Distinguished Speaker Series Luncheon will feature Alec Hill, President and CEO of InterVarsity/USA on Tuesday, February 24.  This is our 14th year of introducing outstanding business leaders to our students. Dr. Hill will speak on, Leading a Mission: the Business Side of Non-profit Ministry.

"Dean" Hill is especially well-known to the SPU community where he earned his B.A. in 1975 and M.A. in 1993 (following his University of Washington J.D. in 1980).  He joined the SPU business school faculty in 1985.  From 1995 to 2001, Alec served as the dean of the School of Business and Economics and led the school to its successful achievement of AACSB accreditation.  From b-school dean to leader of a national mission-focused non-profit organization, Alec Hill is ideally qualified to instruct and inspire our SBGE students.

SPONSORSHIP PROVIDED BY THE BURTON AND RALENE WALLS DISTINGUISHED SPEAKER SERIES ENDOWMENT
This endowment was established with Seattle Pacific University in 2013 to further the entrepreneurial spirit and knowledge of SPU students. Burton is an alumnus of SPU with a major in business. His uncle, Paul Walls, served SPU as a member of the Board of Trustees for 31 years. His father, F. Wesley Walls, also served SPU with distinction for 38 years in various capacities, including founding director of the School of Business. Burton and Ralene are longtime supporters of SPU. Their hope is that this endowment will assist SPU in its mission of engaging the culture and changing the world.
