Governor Inslee directs that Washington state and United States flags at state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff in memory of Washington National Guard SSG Matthew McClintock, 30, of Des Moines, Washington. He was killed in action on January 5 in the Helmand Province in South Afghanistan. SSG McClintock was posthumously promoted to Sergeant First Class.
