SPU is joining other government entities, citizens, and businesses in lowering the United States flag to half-staff in memory of Michael Knapp, interim police chief for Lynden, Washington, who passed away on November 6, 2019, from injuries sustained when he was hit by a truck. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 20, at 1 p.m. at Christ the King Church in Bellingham.
