Steps to STEM Mentor Program

The Steps to STEM Mentor program connects current students with alumni from the SPU Biology and Chemistry departments.  The program was begun by Emily Stohler (BS Cellular & Molecular Biology, 2019) and other alumni who have offered to share their experiences and advice.  Emily writes:

"I started this program to help people like me.  When I started at SPU, I wished there was someone to advise me through various choices I had to make early on. These mentors were picked because they took the classes, they fostered relationships with their professors, they made it through alive and we are all here to make sure you make it through alive, too.

So, as you are reading through these bios, look for things you relate to, things they did that you may be interested in, or even if you just want to talk to a friendly face and hear our stories. Each one of us are here to make sure your time at SPU is a success."
