Jodi GranthamHello, I am Jodi Grantham and I just graduated this June 2019 from Seattle Pacific University with Bachelor of Science degrees in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. I chose to double major because of the professors and courses in each major, as well as it being possible within four years. I came in with 45 AP credits and took summer courses which allowed me to do this. I originally started as a pre-med, physiology major, but through my four years I realized my passion for science and research. I spent the first three years mainly focused on pre-medicine, including volunteering through COPE Health Scholars, having research and health internships, and getting involved through student leadership on campus (including most of the pre-health clubs, and being part of the John Perkins Center for volunteering and community engagement). I just accepted a position at Seattle Genetics as a Research Associate. I will be maintaining and developing cell lines for cancer research. I am very excited to start off in the biotech industry and hope to go to graduate school (either masters or PhD) to continue my passion for science!
