Performances
Each year, SPU Theatre presents a season of four productions, curated by an annual Play Selection Committee. These shows are based on a four-year cycle that features 16 unique choices. For students, this means an opportunity to explore an array of genres and styles. For audiences, this means a variety of excellent performances!
Most productions run for two weeks, with between seven and nine performances each. Evening shows are at 7:30 p.m. and occasional weekend matinees are at 2 p.m.
Our current season theme is: A SEASON OF DISCOVERY.
Events
In addition to our regular theatre season, the department occasionally partners with outside companies to bring educational/theatrical events to campus. We also regularly have student-generated performance as a result of our “Directing” course and our SPU Theatre Senior Project.
