Meet the 2021–22 Catalyst Leadership team:

Patti Fong, Catalyst Education Programmer

Patti Fong
Education Programmer

As the education programmer, I will be leading and organizing In Context, a quarterly workshop series on racism, capitalism, and transformative justice. During In Context, we learn about structure of oppression and explore ways to join together to struggle for a better world. My goal as education programmer is to equip SPU students, staff, and faculty to work toward freedom, healing, and justice in their communities.

Rayna Martin

Rayna Martin
Catalyst Coordinator

As Catalyst coordinator, I will be directing seminars, events, and worship nights that will provide the opportunity to better reflect on what cultural involvement, reconciliation, and personal identity means for SPU's campus. Additionally, I will be fostering support networks among student organizations, clubs, and volunteers, to build frameworks for students to integrate themselves into a space of restoration and a search for truth. It is my intent to cultivate a safe and open environment for every university member, so that we may grow together into a world where justice meets compassion.

Storm Nguyen

Storm Nguyen
Event Programmer

As the event programmer, I have the responsibility of organizing events revolving around race, gender, and diversity on campus. It is my intent to foster an environment on SPU'’s campus that allows for discussion of intersectionality and what it may mean to navigate various marginalized identities. I am also in charge of guiding the social justice directors on the Hall Councils in creating events for the residence hall communities that are culturally sensitive, respectful, and pertinent.
