Meet the 2020–21 Catalyst Leadership team:

Mondain SesayMondain Sesay
Catalyst Coordinator

I’m so honored to be working as the Catalyst coordinator this year! I have the privilege of leading and supporting the Catalyst team, as well as working with other campus leaders. My goal is to be a reliable leader for my team and to challenge SPU’s idea of social justice and cultural inclusion. I hope your time at SPU and with Catalyst is a space for growth and new challenges, and you continue your journey in social justice beyond SPU. I’d love to connect with you, be a source of support and encouragement, and see you engage in all that Catalyst has to offer.

Rachel RegnerRachel Regner
Ministry Programmer

As the Ministry Programmer, I have the responsibility of organizing the quarterly Multicultural Night of Worship. These special events serve to honor and highlight different cultures and how people worship God. My goal is to develop a space where students, faculty, and staff have the opportunity to step outside of their comfort zones and experience the beauty of diversity. God created us to be unique, but commands us to love one another. To better love our neighbor it is important that we try to understand them, and I think that MNOW creates a chance for us to do so.

Patricia FongPatricia Fong
Education Programmer

As the education programmer, I will be leading and organizing In Context, a quarterly workshop series on racism in society and on campus. Through In Context, I aim to foster a safe space for students, faculty, and staff to have meaningful conversations about race, reconciliation, and justice. My goal is to equip members of the SPU community to actively work toward justice in themselves, in their communities, and on our campus.
