Yellow Ribbon. SPU is proud to participate in the Yellow Ribbon program, helping to fund tuition and fees that exceed the VA’s reimbursement rate.

Yellow Ribbon covers you if you’re discharged from the military and qualify for Chapter 33 with 100-percent entitlement. Not sure? Visit the VA website for details.

Once the Post-9/11 GI Bill reimbursement rate is met for the academic year, the Yellow Ribbon program provides undergraduates up to $14,000 per year for tuition — $7,000 from SPU and $7,000 in VA matching funds. The SPU portion may be provided through gift assistance such as merit scholarships.
