NUR 4153: Nursing Leadership in Community Engagement (2026-2027)

This course provides practical application of principles of leadership, management of care, health promotion, and quality improvement through involvement in a community and/or public health project. Students work in partnership with a community agency to identify an issue of concern related to a specific population served by that agency and to develop an evidence-based approach to address the issue. Key concepts integrated into the project will include sustainability, cultural sensitivity, interprofessional care, and ethical practice. Typically offered: Winter, Spring. Fee(s): Nursing Fee
