View all UCOL classes
This course, a weekly discussion-based seminar, introduces first-year college students to learning in an academic community. In this colloquium, we will discuss what it means to be a leader. From influential leaders in history to your resident advisor, everyone has the ability to be a leader. We will look at influential leaders around the world, as well as those who have influenced you on a personal level, and discuss what leadership means to you. The question is, what kind of leader do you want to be to those around you? Students will also engage in planning coursework, choosing majors and minors, laying out their academic path, working with faculty, and connecting with campus resources. Instructor's Discipline: Leadership Development.
